Luxury Frontiers served as the Lead Consultant for the complete redesign and rebuild of Eagle Island Lodge, providing design and technical direction for the entire professional team as well as completing the back of house and infrastructure design.
Managing a project within the precious Okavango Delta—a UNESCO World Heritage site—had many environmental factors to consider. Our mastery of the procurement and logistics process allowed the collective project team to conquer the challenges which arose, including getting specialized materials in by truck during the Okavango Delta’s famous flood season.

Resort Features
Each of the 12 tented suites are 882 sq ft, with an indoor bathtub, outdoor shower, and a private deck with plunge pool. The resort boasts a beautifully positioned new restaurant and a new lounge area with a bar and library. All the main areas are now open and interleading, with a family-style open kitchen and wood-burning pizza oven at the heart of the restaurant.
Design Inspiration
The ancient sycamore fig tree has been incorporated into the new design, while bird nests and butterflies inspired the light fittings. Even the Fish Eagle Bar, near the new camp fire and barbeque area, has a color palette of yellow, brown and white, reflecting the feathers of its namesake and providing a magnificent area to relax.
