We’re excited to announce that Camp Sarika by Amangiri is a finalist in the ‘Guestrooms’ category for the 2020 Hospitality Design Awards. While winners are not announced until this October, the wait is over for travelers as the Luxury Frontiers-designed tented pavilions, nestled at the foot of Utah’s mighty mesas, began inviting guests on July 1st.

We are also thankful for Camp Sarika’s recent recognition as one of Architectural Digest’s ‘Best-Designed New Hotels of 2020’!

A New Project Underway at Ritz-Carlton Reserve Papagayo

The Ritz-Carlton Reserve at Peninsula Papagayo is envisioned to be an 80-room eco-luxury hotel with residential villas within the famed Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica. In partnership with some of the hospitality development world’s most prestigious firms—Gencom, the Athens Group, SB Architects, BAMO, EDSA, and Gensler—Luxury Frontiers is completing the architectural design for a cluster of three oceanview tented accommodations in this new ultra-luxury destination, which will give guests a sense of transformation achieved through adventure.

In addition to resort features such as hanging rope bridges, a secret grotto pool tucked into the jungle, and winding forest trails, the Client wanted to complement the resort’s traditional brick-and-mortar room inventory with unique, light-on-earth tented guestrooms on a stunning hillside locale. By immersing guests in the natural jungle environment and celebrating incredible ocean views, the tents aim to bring a luxurious ‘back to nature’ offering to discerning Ritz-Carlton Reserve guests with their sophisticated spin on authentic, barefoot architecture.

More details to follow regarding this exciting project, which is expected to open in 2023!
