Matthew Robson
Associate | Architecture
Matthew Robson is an Associate and SACAP-registered Professional Architect at Luxury Frontiers, with 10 years of experience across residential, commercial, mixed-use and urban developments. Having worked at Paragon Group, Boogertman + Partners and dhk architects, he brings a strong foundation in architectural design, technical resolution, façade innovation and multidisciplinary project delivery to the studio's experiential hospitality work.
Matthew is interested in the relationship between architecture, materiality and the natural environment, and how light, spatial sequence and context shape the experience of a place. His approach combines conceptual thinking with a practical understanding of how design ideas are developed and built. He is also interested in emerging technologies, including AI, computational design and digital visualisation, and their potential to support more considered and efficient design processes.
He holds a Master of Architecture (Professional), completed cum laude at the University of Johannesburg, where he received the GSA Examiner's Choice Award for his master's thesis. His project experience includes the award-winning Ellipse Waterfall development in Johannesburg and the Cesarom Mixed-Use Development in Romania.
Outside architecture, Matthew enjoys endurance running, photography, filmmaking and travel. These interests continue to inform his curiosity about how people experience and interpret the world around them.
