There are hotels and other buildings being created all over the world. Some are rather standard and normal while others are more elegant and luxurious. Those that have a higher measure of luxury are often given more attention and in 2017, there were over 70 notable luxury hotels that opened up. As we move into future years, any of the hotels on this list would be a good stop for a luxury vacation.

In the lush paradise in the midst of Arenal Volcano National Park sits this resort with impeccable service, top-of-the-line hospitality, and luxurious accommodations. With fine cuisine and a full spa, this destination is the premier location in Costa Rica.

For a truly unforgettable safari experience, guests enjoy the setting amongst the rocky boulders that overlook an inspiring landscape. There are only 10 suites here with an infinity pool and the spa gives travelers an ultimate way to relax after a long day in the bush.

The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi, Malaysia

This luxury hotel has been long-awaited and the luxury rooms and villas blend into the contemporary style of the traditional kampong village. There are three swimming pools, international restaurants, and a full spa surrounded by the Amdaman Sea and verdant rainforests.

King Lewanika Lodge, Zambia

Zambia has seen a lot of interesting developments lately and this luxury safari spot is beautiful and well designed. The designers behind the resort are responsible for many other successes and this one promises to be just as good and exclusive as well. With 6 luxury villas that can hold up to 15 guests, visitors get the personal attention they deserve.

Bulgari Hotel Shanghai, China

Set on the top of a high 40-floor skyscraper, these 8 floors have over 80 suites. There is also a 400-square meter “Bulgari Suite,” which is one of the biggest in the city. This hotel includes a rooftop Italian restaurant and bar and it is not the only Bulgari that opened in 2017.

The Patina, Capitol Singapore

This luxury resort is the sister to Capella Singapore and started wowing guests right away. The carefully restored heritage buildings, The Stamford House and the Capitol Building, feature beautiful rooms and suits be world-renowned designers. Singapore also got its first saltwater relaxation pool to go along with its world-class art collection.

Hotel De Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, Paris, France

This luxury hotel will finally re-open after an extensive renovation that was done in a very thoughtful manner that included adding new areas. There are two new suites, for example, designed by Karl Lagerfled. This landmark is a true Paris icon and has hosted the Who’s Who of the world since 1758.
