Camp Sarika by Amangiri, designed by Luxury Frontiers, and the main Amangiri resort have both been featured on a list of ‘Remote destinations for luxurious isolation‘ by CNN Travel.  But why are properties like this especially appealing right now?  Experts say that travel trends are pointing towards “…an interest in remote destinations where social distancing is a way of life rather than a concerted effort.”

Opening July 1st, Camp Sarika boasts even further isolation from the outside world than Amangiri, which is already known for being “famously isolated”.  At the camp, bespoke tented pavilions seamlessly connect guests to the natural desert surroundings.  During their stay guests can visit one of the five national parks in the area or “…spend time learning the history and culture of the Navajo, the Native American tribe who have lived on the land for centuries, well before the founding of the US.”

“In July, Amangiri will debut its Camp Sarika— an even more remote tented camp… a 5-minute drive or 30-minute hike from Amangiri. There are ten tented pavilions, positioned to guarantee the utmost privacy and seclusion.”
